Three men were arrested in two separate anti-drug operations in Mariki and along Climaco Avenue last Monday.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo disclosed that operatives of the Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force led by Sr. Insp. Elmer Solon swooped down on Sahaya Village in Mariki following a report that a group of persons were having a shabu session in the said place.

When the team arrived in Rio Hondo, they were met by a male resident who claimed that he was the one who reported about the ongoing shabu session in the area.
The man guided the team to a house where the drug users were smoking shabu.

However, when the lawmen arrived, several drug users scampered in different directions and only two of them were collared — Julie Garcia, 19, and Alkhalid Aljawawi, 20, of Mariki.

Solon and his men confiscated from their possession two sachets of shabu, two strips of aluminum foil and two folded tissue paper.
In another operation, Eric Naong y Mabait, 31, married, of Recodo, was arrested by men of the Tetuan Police Station during an entrapment operation along Climaco Avenue around 1:40 p.m.

Confiscated from his possession were a sachet of shabu hidden in an empty cigarette case and a Honda motorcycle registered under the name of Cristy Suarez of San Jose Road. – Dan Toribio Jr.
