Cop stabbed while pacifying fight in Sangali PDF Print E-mail

A policeman was stabbed and wounded while he was pacifying a fight at the Sangali Fishing Port Complex last Friday night.

The victim was identified as PO1 Benzar Ammad of the 9th Regional Public Safety Management Battalion detailed at the fishing port. He sustained a stab wound in the back and was taken to the hospital.

The assailant was identified as Ariel Glova, a resident of Bunguiao. He was arrested by policemen led by Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña.

A police report disclosed that Glova and a certain Felix were having a fight around 6 p.m. Ammad rushed in the middle and tried to break the quarrel, However, Glova got irked and attacked him with a knife.

Glova escaped after the incident but was immediately collared by the police.
