2 more arrested in shabu buy-bust PDF Print E-mail

Two more suspected shabu pushers were arrested in separate police operations in Guiwan and San Jose Gusu last Saturday.

Jaime Aragon y Mariano, 40, single, of Waray Drive, Tetuan, was arrested by men of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company under Supt. William Gadayan during a buy-bust operation at Sunrise Village, Guiwan around 4:30 p.m.

Confiscated from Aragon’s possession was one sachet of shabu and P500 marked money.

A police report disclosed that Aragon was arrested after he sold shabu to a police poseur buyer in exchange of the P500 marked money.

Around 8:30 p.m., Wilfredo Porlas y Callao, 48, married, of Purok 5B, Recodo was arrested by operatives of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force led by Sr. Insp. Elmer Solon at Armor Village, San Jose Gusu in another buy-bust operation.

Confiscated from Porlas’ possession was one medium size sachet, two small size sachets, three empty sachets, 10 aluminum foilstrips, three straw scoops, one big rolled aluminum foil, one roll of tissue paper , one black suitcase and P300 marked money.

The items seized from the two suspects were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examinations while the suspects were detained pending the filing of charges in court. – Dan Toribio Jr.
