Town guard shot dead in Isabela PDF Print E-mail

A municipal guard of Tabuan-Lasa town was shot dead by a gunman at the port area of Isabela City last Sunday afternoon.

Dead on the spot was Masul Jamiri, 32, married, a resident of Saluping Island. But it was reported that Jamiri also owned a house in Malamawi Island, Isabela City.

Police report said that Jamiri who also served as guard of Mayor Muctar Junaid was walking along the port area when a gunman appeared and without much ado shot him at the back of his head.

The gunman fled towards unknown direction. Police recovered four empty shells of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.

Investigators recovered a 9mm pistol from Jamiri’s possession. They are facing blank wall in n their investigation of the case. — Noning R. Antonio
