Men of the PNP’s Zamboanga City Public Safety Company under Supt. William Gadayan arrested eight more persons in two anti-drug operations in Recodo and Kasanyangan, the other day.

In his report to City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo Gadayan said that around 3 p.m. Friday, his men led by Sr. Insp. Joewie Bantoto Lucas proceeded to Purok 3, Recodo and conducted a buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of three suspected pushers and four users.

Gadayan identified the three suspected pushers as Jomar Acbal y Ibrahim, 32; Zenaida Acbal y Amil, 43, and Muktar Maru y Saranga, all residents of Recodo. Two medium size sachets, two small packs of shabu and P500 marked money.

Also arrested were alleged drug users Demetrin Buraosy Cobillo, 35, Gerson Cadungog y Labado, 33, Loreto Bucad y Tinapunan, 34, all residents of San Roque and Gilbert Reniel Dumagay y Delpio, 28, of San Jose. Seized from them were a sachet of shabu, one empty sachet and drug paraphernalia.

A police report disclosed that during the buy-bust operation, the three suspected pushers were nabbed while the four others were caught in the act of smoking shabu.

Meanwhile, the same team arrested Jon-Jon Abdani y Samson, 26, of Don Toribio St., Tetuan in Kasanyangan last Thursday.

Confiscated from his possession were two small sachets of shabu and P300 marked money.

All the suspects were detained at the central police station while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examinations. – Dan Toribio Jr.
