Barangays show unity with Beng, Celso, Jomar, Itu PDF Print E-mail

Barangay officials the other day came in full force to show unity and solidarity with the Liberal Party-Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino-Adelante Zamboanga coalition led by Mayoralty aspirant Beng Climaco and re-electionist Cesar Iturralde and Congressional aspirants Mayor Celso Lobregat for District 1 and Jomar Lobregat for District II and council aspirants of the team.

Some 830 barangay officials composed of the chairmen, kagawads, secretaries, treasurers and Sangguniang Kabataan leaders coming from all the 37 villages under District 1 and 63 out of the 67 villages under District 2 turned up at  the venue where the coalition team also known as Zamboanga’s Team PNoy had its presentation of candidates.

The overwhelming majority of the barangay officials present during the Zamboanga Team PNoy meeting now forms part of the Beng-Celso-Jomar-Itu bandwagon to demonstrate appreciation and gratitude for the notable achievements and accomplishments of the incumbent officials in the different barangays.

The barangay officials greeted with loud cheers each time a team PNoy candidate was presented that include District 1 Council aspirants – Myra Paz Abubakar, Noning Biel and Gerky Valesco—all re-electionists and newcomers Violeta Alejandro, Charlie Mariano, Tito Espiritusanto, Dats Sampang and Bong Atilano and District II aspirants—Mike Alavar, Eddie Saavedra, Percy Ramos and VP Elago—all re-electionists and newcomers Kit Barredo, Art Onrubia, BG Guingona and Elong Natividad. 

In random interviews, the barangay officials affirmed that the Zamboanga Team PNoy is defined by performance and accomplishments and has been tried and tested, thus, deserves the mandate of the people.

All the 98 barangays in the City are recipients of projects and programs that were implemented properly in the name of unity and continuity for progress and development.

The barangay officials believe that being united and steadfast in their commitment to the people—the entire Zamboanga Team PNoy can very well achieve the City’s vision and mission.

“Este grupo el probao y aprobao, porke pa kita anda na grupo hinde asigurao”, Anatacio Limen, kagawad of Barangay Culianan said.

Culianan, he attested, is a witness to the accomplishments and performance of the present administration, given the massive projects implemented in the barangay. — Rey Carbonel
