Four suspects in a stabbing incident in Mangusu were arrested in Barangay Curuan last Thursday morning.

A police report disclosed that no less than City Prosecutor Ricardo Cabaron reported and sought assistance from the Curuan Police Station that four suspects in a stabbing in Mangusu were seen hiding in his farm lot around 10 a.m.

Acting on the report, men of the Curuan Police Station led by Chief Insp. Ricardo Garcia swooped down on the said place and arrested the suspects who were later identified as Jerry Cuartocruz y Francisco, 29; Larry Maliwana y Pedro, 18; Wilfredo Pedro y Encarnada, 34, all from Vitali and Wilfredo Amparado y Cuerda, 55, of Latuan.

Recovered from their possession were a blade weapon and a Honda Wave motorcycle.

The suspects were turned over to the Vitali Police Station for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, Manoling Latip Taha, an onion vendor, was hacked and wounded in Mampang last Friday night.

Police also identified the suspect as Mohammad Isiri, a fish vendor.

The victim sustained hack wounds in the head and right arm and was taken to the hospital.
