UNA congressional candidate Crisanto “Monsi” Dela Cruz is confident of winning the support of majority of the electorate in District 1 that will make him the next Representative of the city’s first district.

Monsi declared this during the second grand rally of UNA in Villa, Sta. Maria last Tuesday night which was attended by a big crowd.

“I’m sure I will be given the chance in this coming election and I’m sure I will be the next congressman of the first district of Zamboanga City,” Dela Cruz said.

In an interview, Dela Cruz said he will push for the creation of a third congressional district in Zamboanga saying it will be his top priority in the House of Representatives.

The servant-leader believes that creating a new district will help bring more progress to the entire city.

Monsi’s another priority is to revisit that EPIRA law and possible introduce amendments that will help solve the power crisis in Mindanao including Zamboanga City.

He said he will also focus on labor laws, creation jobs for the Zamboangueños, then he will continue his advocacy on education. livelihood projects.

Monsi further said that he will also focus on the peace and order situation in the first district. He said he will consult all the barangay officials and authorities to see possible solutions to stop kidnapping in the west coast.
