With the support he gets from the youth sector, Lamitan City Puersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) mayoralty bet Hegem Furigay yesterday expressed confidence that majority of his party mates will make it in the election.

In their campaign sorties, Hegem, who is an incumbent city councilor,  said the people are so eager to have a new breed of leaders with bright ideas for the development of Lamitan.

“My 10-point agenda is based on what the people are asking for. With my vast experience in government management and leadership and with the support of our constituents, I am very optimistic that everything is possible,” Hegem said.

As politics starts to heat up, the one of the outstanding city councilors of the Philippines, Hegem Furigay has appealed to his political rivals to keep the campaign on high level by avoiding mudslinging, personal assassination and black propaganda.

“As a young politician, I don’t want to get involved in dirty politics. I beg my opponents to only present their platform of government and let politics passes by after the election. After all, we are all Lamiteños,” Furigay said. — JV
