“It will take forceful political will to effectively restore back the city to normalcy as peace and order conditions in Zamboanga City continues to be a major concern of all and FuerzaZamboanga gives you the assurance, we will have political will to see criminality will be eradicated if the people give us the mandate this May 13 elections.”

Thus declared Fuerza Zamboanga mayoralty bet Erbie A. Fabian before a huge crowd in his home turf of Barangay Mercedes.

Fabian along with vice mayoralty bet Atty. Luis Climaco, District 2 Congress aspirant Councilor Lilia Nuno and the group’s council bets for Distrct 2 were given a rousing reception after it concluded its day-long house-to-house campaign in the east coast barangay.

Fabian said the city leadership must stop being in denial and admit peace and order is a problem and cease giving people a false sense of security.

The huge billboard at a school near city hall continues with its body count of those killed in violent incidents here in the city.

Fabian said he takes cognizance of the yeoman’s job being carried out by City Police Director Supt. Edwin de Ocampo but insists the direction must emanate from city hall.

“Purchasing more firearms, vehicles, communications equipment and other supposed aid poured in by city hall will not amount much to anything unless there is strict order from above to step up a no nonsense campaign against crime here,” Fabian said. “The intelligence fund of city hall must be utilized properly that the police will have the capacity to do real honest to goodness intelligence gathering to help combat criminality, Fabian emphasized speaking in the vernacular amidst cheers from the crowd. Zamboanga City deserves a peaceful environment where everyone can feel safe day or night just like what it once was before.”

“Councilor Lilia Nuno, Atty. Luis Climaco, myself and our council bets are committed to deliver on our pledge to stop crime in our city, because our people deserve nothing less,” he added.

Fabian took time to express Fuerza Zamboanga’s gratitude to the good people of Mercedes for the enthusiastic  welcome they have given and for the show of support, saying it means a lot to him being a resident of the said barangay.

He also pledged to continue delivering on projects which will help Mercedes in the years ahead, if he and his group makes make it to city hall. — Fuerza Zamboanga PR
