Team PNoy Zamboanga headed by mayoralty aspirant Cong. Beng Climaco-Salazar Sunday barnstormed the villages in Sacol Island consisting of Pasilmanta, Busay, Landang Gua and Landang Laum including the barangays of Tumalutab, Tigtabon and Pangapuyan highlighting the group’s 10th day of the campaign trail.

Accompanying the mayoralty aspirant were District II congressional bet Jomar Lobregat, re-electionist Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde and the complete line-up of District II Council aspirants- Mike Alavar, Kit Barredo, BG Guingona, Art Onrubia, Elong Natividad, Eddie Saavedra, Percival Ramos, and VP Elago.

“We always reach out to people especially of letting them know of the services we extend to them. This is what we want the island barangay leaders and their constituents would like to feel, that they are very much a part of this city and we listen to the things they want us to do for them,” Climaco-Salazar emphasized.

While in the islands, the party had a series of pulong-pulong, house-to-house campaign and motorcade.

The PNoy Zamboanga team was warmly by the people in the area, saying that it was the first time for an entire team to visit them to campaign there and bring their platforms of government closer to the people.

Climaco-Salazar highlighted the need to be united and to take pride of the beautiful islands the city has in district 2.

“We see their concerns here that needed action, mainly basic things to help the community and we likewise wanted them to be proud of what their island can offer to the people of Zamboanga. We look at the relevance of our public service in the areas we go, so when we do projects for and with them, we shall be assured that these are things they needed and government funds will not go in vain,” she added. — Rey Carbonel
