Fuerza Zamboanga mayoralty bet Erbie A. Fabian has told last week’s nightly rally attendees the real score behind his independent candidacy for mayor in the May 13 polls.

In his nightly rally speech in Barangays Talon-Talon, Talisayan, Mercedes, Camino Nuevo, and in Vitali last week Fabian related to the people on how he was left out in the cold by local ruling party leaders in favor of accommodating a brother of the mayor who they have chosen to run for the post he is vacating this June as District 2 congress aspirant.

Fabian was reacting to various queries from curious people he met while campaigning house-to-house with other Fuerza bets on why he was not with the ‘group’ where he once ran with forming the so called triumvirate with Mayor Celso Lobregat and District 1 Rep. Beng Climaco-Salazar.

‘It is not true I deserted the group but on the contrary I was booted out from the lineup,” Fabian clarified. That being the case, after close consultations with the people, friends, family and supporters, and heeding the call of many for me to continue serving the city, I have decided to run for mayor and present myself and my group as candidates with an agenda for change to help steer Zamboanga City into the future for the good of our people. My running and that of my party mates is also a show that there are other qualified candidates who can just as well or even better serve the city if given the chance by the people this May 13 elections.”

“The people will ultimately judge us, not the surveys they run, who the residents our beloved city would like their next leaders to become,” he said.

“I strongly believe, the people are ready for a change in leadership and Fuerza Zamboanga candidates to include my running mate Atty. Luis Climaco and our District 2 Congress bet Lilia Nuño, our council bets for both districts and myself are confident in our 10-point agenda. Our work plan for Zamboanga City in the years ahead as the viable alternative to that change in leadership here,” Fabian emphasized.

“Public service is an avenue where vested personal interests have no place in, the solon asserted, and there are people, willing to serve and better qualified to serve who the people must be aware of to steer our beloved city into the future with their own brand of leadership and capable expertise. People should know the truth and to beware of distorted lies, so that they may be guided accordingly to the day they cast their votes this May,” he explained.

Fabian pitched anew for his team citing the experience, capabilities, tested integrity and willingness to serve the people. — Fuerza Zamboanga Media Bureau
