Mayor Celso Lobregat together with his brother Jomar, Team Pinoy mayoralty aspirant Beng Climaco-Salazar and the administration’s council candidates for District 2 yesterday took a short break from their campaign sorties as they led in the inauguration and turnover of the newly constructed barangay hall amounting to P4.2 million in Guisao, east of this city.

Lobregat said the barangay hall totaling P4,195,781.90 is just one of the many projects worth more than P30 million that the city government under his administration had implemented and completed in Guisao, a small village, since 2007.

“This only proves that our projects go even to the smallest and farthest barangays of the city, and are not concentrated in the city proper,” said Lobregat, who is running for congress for District 1 under Team Pinoy. His brother, Jomar, is a congressional candidate for District 2.

Lobregat also thanked businessman We Dee Ping (Lepeng We) for donating to the city government the 400-sq.m.lot on which the Guisao barangay hall was constructed. “Without Lepeng’s lot donation there would not have been a barangay hall.

Among the projects implemented in Guisao were school buildings, slope protection, road network, health center and many others.

Also present during the inauguration were District 2 re-electionist Councilors Mike Alavar, Eddie Saavedra, VP Elago and new council aspirants Kit Barredo, Art Onrubia, BG Guingona, Elong Natividad and Tito Espiritusanto together with Guisao barangay officials headed by Captain Aurora Solis. — Vic Larato
