United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) District1 congressional bet Monsi dela Cruz yesterday branded his opponent Celso Lobregat as “arrogant and insensitive to the needs of our people.”

In a press statement, Monsi said the people are disgusted of Lobregat’s kind of leadership.

“Inspite of the anger and outrage of the business community and ordinary people, Lobregat has decisively failed to tacke the blackout crisis gravely affecting the lives of our people, kidnapings and killings are giving chilling effects to prospective investors and our people as a whole,” Monsi said.

He said that billions of pesos (of the city government) are deposited in the bank while people are demanding immediate attention and decisive action.

“Words and ‘praise release’ are nothing.” said the servant-leader.

To aggravate the difficulties of them people, Monsi said, aside from the increase in taxes yet with the absence of concrete developmental projects, Lobregat has concentrated on ‘cosmetic projects like fountains, statues and convention center named “Centro Latino” which is competing with the private sector.

“Parents and students of WMSU are disgusted with the recently approved Board Resolution of which Lobregat, a member of the Board of Regents, voted in favor of the increase in tuition fee despite the exteme difficulties of our people which is at the height of his insensitiveness to the needs of our parents and young people hoping to avail of education in our government university,” Monsi said.
