Campaign posters of District 2 congressional candidate Lilia Nuño were torn down by her political detractors, Nuño’s campaign headquarters in Barangay Guiwan reported.

“Most of the posters of Mother Lil even the posters of her Fuerza Zamboanga parytymates were torn down in Barangay Talon-Talon,” the headquarters said in a statement.

In the name of supporters of Mother Lil, the Nuño headquarters strongly condemns the incident and calls on authorities to identify the perpetrators and file them appropriate charges.

Asked her reaction, the Fuerza Zamboanga congressional candidate said the tearing down of her posters is not appropriate in a civilized campaign.

“Unfortunately, these illegal activities and dirty tactics by certain politicians are unfair,” Mrs Nuño said.

Campaign headquarters of Nuño called on rivals in politics and other candidates to refrain from provocations and return to the fair rules of political propaganda. — HG
