Residents of at least nine  barangays experienced low pressure to no water in their areas yesterday due to a flash flood at the Tumaga river.

As reported by the Production Department, turbidity went as high as 2,010ntu requiring the frequent cleaning of the filters and thus lessening water production resulting to a decrease of water level in the reservoirs. The normal turbidity is 5ntu.

Affected residents who experienced low pressure to no water were those residences located in highly elevated areas and farthest most point of distribution.  ZCWD’s phones went non- stop ringing as early as 8:00AM due to tons of callers complaining of no water in their areas.
