Men of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company under Supt. William Gadayan arrested two more suspected shabu pushers in Talon-Talon and Tumaga Porcentro last Tuesday and Wednesday.

Gadayan said that Gil Fernandez y Jose, alias Gilda, 40, single of Puerto Princesa, Talon-Talon was arrested by his men led by Sr. Insp. Joewie Bantoto Lucas during a buy-bust operation around 4 p.m.last Tuesday.

He said that Fernandez sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover agent in the amount of P300. Unknowingly that it was marked money.

After shabu and the marked money changed hands, policemen cornered and arrested Fernandez. When frisked, police recovered two more sachets of shabu from his possession.

The same team proceeded to Tumaga Porcentro and carried out another another buy-bust operation around 4 p.m. Wednesday resulting in the arrest of Zendy Cabugsa y Locson, 26.

Gadayan disclosed that Cabugsa sold a sachet of shabu to a police poseur buyer in the amount of P300 (marked money).

Cabugsa was nabbed by a back-up team after she received the marked money from the poseur buyer.

Fernandez and Cabugsa were detained at the central police station while the confiscated items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination. – Dan Toribio Jr.
