Team PNoy mayoralty aspirant Cong. Beng Climaco-Salazar yesterday pointed to projects and relevance of programs in reaction to malicious text messages and propaganda releases circulated by political rivals in a bid to disrupt her steadily increasing popularity.

“I continue to bring and implement relevant projects,” Climaco-Salazar said as she lamented the dirty tactics employed by her rivals. “If that’s their way in running their campaign, we can’t do anything about it. As long as we know we have given assistance to people and we have made projects that are needed by our constituents, that should make up our track record.”

From 2007 up to date, social services of the City’s First District have been notably helping more indigent families in both districts in the city. This earned her the EPIC Award given by medical doctors and professionals in Manila as she worked conscientiously in her legislative work to aid people in seeking for medical attention.

“We are happy that even a council aspirant of the other party would come to our office to seek for assistance so his constituents may be able to pay the bill at the Zamboanga City Medical Center”, the lady solon said stressing “I see our work as very relevant and very inclusive with the sincere intention of helping people regardless their political affiliation. Makapensa lang tiene bes kay hunto sila ta corre con el mga hente que ta dale promesa de ayuda, pero ta corre man sila na de aton oficina. Siguro kay kita verdad ta ayuda ya.”

Climaco-Salazar’s congressional office has allocated over 30 million pesos at the Zamboanga City Medical Center and Department of Social Welfare and Development since 2007 to cater to social services.

“Quiere kita que el cosa kita ta hace akel necesita el jente. Ase man tu fuente entra’y ciudad, pero manada man maga bata na mga isla necesita pa nada para lang anda na escuela, era alya ya lang kita ya pone de aton fondo kay akel mas necesita maga bata. This is why consultation is very important,” Climaco-Salazar, who is the House Deputy Speaker for Mindanao added. — Rey Carbonel
