Team Pnoy’s 2nd district council aspirant Benjamin ‘BG’ Guingona IV, has re-assured the electorate about his capacity and capability to be an effective city councilor in spite of his young age.

Guingona’s pronouncement came, in the wake of circulating text messages, that he is way behind capable of becoming a city councilor, due to his youthful stage in life.

The 24-year old nephew of outgoing district 2 councilor, Benjamin ‘Nonong’ Guingona, has however, refuted these negative insinuations, apparently coming from other contending camps, saying, “I may be too young, but politics is not new to my menu”.

Guingona said, that just as he graduated from college, he got immediately employed at the Manila Stocks Exchange (MSE) office, and subsequently, worked at the Senate, under the office of his other uncle, Senator TG Guingona, who got elected in May 2010.

“Tres anio yo ya trabaja na senado, y dentro de ese tiempo, ya pwede yayo bulcha na entero Luzon, Visayas y Mindanao, para pulsya si cosa el verdadero problema del maga hente, para pwede canila ayuda el oficina di Uncle TG, y ese palang, ya dale ya con migo bastante saber aserca el pulitica”, the young Guingona recently told a radio interview.

Guingona appeals to his critics to let his age alone, and look at his credentials instead.

When elected, Guingona vows to focus more on sports, education, and poverty alleviation programs for the youth, through scholarships, as he firmly believes, that education is the key to better future.
