The Zamboanga Sea-Based Anti-Trafficking Task Force ( ZSBATTF ) rescued three female victims of human trafficking in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi last Friday.

An officer of the City Social Welfare and Development Office had earlier called the ZSBATTF informing that three women were recruited at a mall in this city to  work in Jordan passing Sandakan, Malaysia.

After the task force received the information, it immediately organized a rescue team in coordination with the Philippine Center on Transnational Crimes Western Mindanao Field Office,  Womens Children Police Desk, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Visayan Forum and the 9th Regional Public Safety Battalion and the government forces in  Bongao,  Tawi-Tawi to rescue the three women who are residents of  Zamboanga City.

After they were successfully rescued, the three women were given counseling at the Visayan  Forum before they were sent back to their homes.
