UNA District 1 congressional aspirant Monsi Dela Cruz and his party mates continue to gain more support as they intensify their house-to-house sorties and the conduct of rallies in the different barangays in District 1.

Latest campaigns and rallies were held in Canelar, Sto. Niño and Camino Nuevo where residents praised Monsi and his team for their good and sincere intention to serve the city in bringing changes and progress.

Monsi explained to the people the real situation the city is facing including the power shortage, unstable peace and order and taxes imposed by city hall that are hurting small businessmen and discouraging other entrepreneurs.

He said if given the chance to serve in the city, he will work hard to address all these negative things that are destroying Zamboanga City’s image.

Moreover, Monsi also vowed to build another school for the poor in the west coast and continue his scholarship program.

Monsi stressed that he will give importance to education and priority to the poor who are interested to finish technical or college courses.

“We really believe Monsi as we have already seen his sincere service to the poor, especially his scholarship program and giving of lots to the true indigents,” said a resident of Sto.Niño.

Many District 1 residents now support the battle cry of UNA — “time for a change” — saying that it is the only thing should happen so that the city will move forward. – Dan Toribio Jr.
