GSP 37th Nat’l Encampment set in Quezon PDF Print E-mail

The Girl Scout of the Philippines (GSP) will hold its 37th National Encampment from April 20-26, 2013 at the GSP Belen Regional Program and Training Center in Barangay, Maasin, Candelaria Quezon. This year’s encampment will be hosted by the Southern Luzon region and will have the theme: “Awareness is Preparedness.”

Participants to these encampment should be registered Senior/Cadet Girl Scouts as of May 2012; physically fit and alert, must be a Patrol leader’s Camp Permit Certificate holder or at least have attended the Patrol Leader’s camp Permit Course, must have earned at least one badge each under the 8-point challenge and have attended a troop/patrol camp prior to this encampment.

From the GSP Zamboanga City Council Western Mindanao Region, eight participants and leaders will be joining the encampment. They are Ruthsheine P. Bacabac, Sheena Mae G. Basallote, Jomelyn P. Climaco, Kryshelle N. Garcia, Czarleen Quin F. Jose, Ma. Luisa F. Narca (Team Leader), Mary Ann I. Torcuator (Team Leader) and Conchita U. Barredo (C/Executive).

Campers will experience exciting and adventure-filled activities such as Outdoor Challenge - rope course, rapelling, and slide for life; Livelihood - Belt Making and Banana Chips Making; Self Defense - Karate; Learn and Share - Interpretation of the theme through Poster and Slogan Making;  Market Market - Souvernir Items for sale and Adventure Trip to Villa Escudero - Museum Tour, Carabao Cart rides, Bamboo Rafting, Swimming and Luch at Waterfalls Pavilion. — Mila M.
