UNA District 1 congressional aspirant Cris “Monsi” Dela Cruz yesterday condemned the killing of a campaign aide of Councilor Lilia Nuño in San Roque last Friday night and lamented on other similar violent incidents that have taken place in the different parts of the city.

Monsi appealed to authorities to take necessary actions for the immediate solution and arrest of the perpetrators who shot and killed Rahman Ramdi regardless of what the motive behind it.

Monsi also condoled with the relatives of Ramdi who was a family man.

Aside from the blackout problem, Monsi decried on the continuous killing of people in Zamboanga City and is praying that concerned agencies will work hard to stop the crimes.

Aside from Ramdi, another businessman was shot dead in Vitali almost an hour earlier.

Monsi expressed hope that the present administration will properly use the city’s intelligence funds to help solve and prevent crimes in the city.

Recently, a prominent lawyer was wounded while his two office staff were killed in an ambush in Tugbungan.

“Who would be the next victim of shooting?” asked Monsi.

Meanwhile, an old woman expressed fear not only on the killing but also on kidnapping incidents as she feels that Zamboanga City is now very different from three decades ago. – Dan Toribio Jr.
