UNA District 1 congressional bet Cris “Monsi” Dela Cruz is drawing more support in District 1.

This developed as another big rally was held in Calarian Friday which drew some 2,000 folks who expressed their all-out support to him and his party mates.

With the positive response of the people, Monsi expressed confidence that he will be the next congressman in the city’s first district as he vowed to put into action all his platforms of government.

Monsi’s battlecry “tiempo ya para cambia” is clearly getting the people’s approval wherever they hold rallies.

Monsi reiterates that he is seeking to be elected in congress with the objective to serve and help alleviate poverty in the city where many people are suffering and getting no assistance from the city government.

He said that despite the billions of pesos the city government have in the bank, there are many poor people who could hardly eat three times a day and there are many Zamboangueños who are jobless.

Monsi lamented anew the continuous killing of people at any time of the day with the killers using guns and not afraid of the authorities.

Meanwhile, Judith Peria, director of the Homeowners’ Association of Southcom Village in Calarian in behalf of the residents expressed deep gratitude to Monsi for his projects implemented in the barangay even when he is not yet an elected official.

Peria said the servant-leader has donated a basketball court to them and has put up a chapel for their community. — Dan Toribio Jr.
