Vice Mayor Cesar Ituralde has lauded Land Transportation Office 9 Director Aminola P. Abaton for coming up with an outstanding performance in revenue collection in year 2010 and for surpassing the target collection.

The target collection for 2010 was P240 million and  LTO-9  collected a total of P272,891,161.45 in 2010 or a with a variance of P 32,891,161.45.  In 2009, it collected P232 million.
“This is an evidence of the fact that business transportation in Zamboanga City is outstanding,” Ituralde said.

Councilor Nonong Guingona, chairman of the City Council’s Committee on Ways and Means, also commended Director Abaton for the great performance.

“It’s a good sign that the transportation business paid their taxes on time and Zamboanga City benefited  as the center of trading in the region. The enforcement of the Traffic Code of the Philipines and other laws are properly implemented,” Guingona said.

Meanwhile, Abaton is scheduled to detail the E-Patrol Van in Ayala to service the renewal of motorvehicle registrations and issuances of student permit licenses.

He will also field a team of LTO law enforcers during night time in the wake of complaints that many motorvehicle drivers do not use their headlights which is the cause of many accidents. — Allen Abastillas
