Benjamin “BG” Guingona, Team PNoy District 2 council aspirant, has vowed to advocate the true essence of good governance to the masses, once elected into office.

Guingona, whose candidacy appears to be gaining momentum, also assured, that the youth’s welfare, will be among his priorities.

The young Guingona is the nephew of outgoing city Councilor Benjamin ‘Nonong’ Guingona III, and re-electionist Senator TG Guingona.

In an interview with ‘Buenas Dias Zamboanga’ program yesterday, the young Guingona emphasized on the importance of bringing good governance to the grassroots, through transparency, accountability, and people’s participation.

“Ta cre yo, que todo’l gastos ta ase el govierno, debe claro na maga jente, siendo este es sen di ila, que ta sale na di ila maga impuesto”, the young Guingona assured.

Guingona also committed to be fully accountable to his electorate, saying that anyone who sees him to be doing not good, can file a complaint against him in the proper forum.

“Si ta mira sila que hinde yo ta ase bueno, pwede sila reclama contra comigo, siendo sila el ya eliji comigo”, Guingona said.

Guingona also reiterated his preference to look after the welfare of the youth. “Si ya pwede captura si Uncle Nonong (Guingona) con el sector de senior citizens durante el su nueve anio na puesto, yo tamen ahora ay consentra na maga jovenes, y canila yo insinia el verdadero prinsipio de limpio y buen govierno.”

The 25-year old Guingona, is seemingly, a crowd drawer in both Team PNoy’s campaign sorties and nightly rallies in district 2. — PA
