The Tetuan police station under Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña has forwarded to the city prosecutor office cases of murder and attempted murder against a policeman who was arrested in connection with the killing of a businessman’s son along Cadena Amor Drive in Guiwan at dawn last Sunday.

In his report to City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo, Acuña identified the suspect as PO3 Nonoy Addas, who is assigned in Basilan. He was tagged as the gunman who shot and killed Ivan Ervin Pulmano y Saavedra, 23.

Acuña and his investigators have invited Addas to the police station to shed light on the killing of Pulmano after they received information linking him to the gunslaying.

When Addas went to the Tetuan Police Station, witnesses pointed to him as the gunman who shot Pulmano.

Addas was immediately placed behind bars. Last Thursday police forwarded to the prosecutor’s office the murder and attempted murder cases against him.

Pulmano and a female companion were aboard a car that was negotiating the Cadena Amor Drive in Guiwan around 3:57 a.m. when a gunman appeared and opened fire on them.

The car crashed on the road as Pulmano lost control of the steering wheel due to four bullets in the body.

Meanwhile, Tetuan police station investigators were looking into the possibility of Abbas’  participation  in the killing of a couple in Talon-Talon the other day. – Dan Toribio Jr.
