With 17 days to go before thea city folk decide on who the next leaders of the city will be, Team Fuerza Zamboanga took the battle to the very doorstep of its main protagonist, the local team Pnoy, in vote-rich Sta.  Maria and in the process debunked claims the barangay is a solid stronghold.

With a long stream of ardent supporters accompanying the candidates, Team Fuerza was openly welcomed and enthusiastically received by residents in thickly populated areas of the barangay.

Bannered by fast rising mayoralty bet Erbie A. Fabian and his running mate Atty. Luis Climaco along with their council bets, the group took their house-to-house campaign deep into “enemy territory” and came off mustering plenty of goodwill and pledges of support.

Fuerza standard bearer Erbie Fabian was buoyed by the great outpouring of support as he and his group went on another punishing house-to-house campaign the whole day last Saturday.

Simple folk came out of their residences to meet the Fuerza team, majority of whom pledged their support to the team in blue.

Sta. Maria is where Fabian’s main opponent resides, and was touted as the bailiwick of the team in red-yellow.

Fabian said the great outpouring of support invigorates him and his party mates as they continue to build a groundswell of support in all areas of the city they have visited so far.

“This only indicates the people do really want and are clamoring for a change in leadership and they see this in Erbie Fabian and Team Fuerza Zamboanga’, council bet and retired police officer Hado Edding added.

“We are calling on the residents of Santa Maria to come join us in our drive to take the helm of the city that we can pursue our plans as contained in our 10-point agenda for the benefit of the city and its residents’, added council aspirant and former NCIP commissioner Mike Apostol said. — FZ Media Bureau
