Team Pnoy District 2 congressional bet Jomar Lobregat has expressed doubts on the accuracy and authenticity of a survey published in a local daily recently as he expressed confidence that mayoralty aspirant Cong. Beng Climaco-Salazar will be the next mayor of Zamboanga City.

The survey, purportedly conducted by a group named GMRJ was published in a local daily the other day showing that outgoing District 2 Congressman Erbie Fabian, mayoralty aspirant under Fuerza Zamboanga is leading the race.

The survey likewise showed that opposition council aspirants are within the comfort zone.

In a radio interview the other day, Jomar Lobregat expressed doubts on the supposed survey results stressing that there was no explanation made as to how it was done, and whether or not it followed the correct procedure that legitimate surveys are normally done.

Lobregat said the published survey result is far different from what appears in the in-house surveys that the Team PNoy subscribes indicating that Climaco-Salazar is overwhelmingly enjoying the trust and confidence of Zamboanga City voters.

“Si ta pregunta kame con dies maga jente na calle o na barangay, nueve el apabor cun Beng (Climaco) para queda el siguiente alcalde del ciudad, poreso maka estrania si que modo este survey team (GMRJ) ya llega en akel clase de resulta,” asked Lobregat.

The businessman-turned politician said, that apart from the overwhelming lead that Climaco-Salazar enjoys over Fabian, her running mate, Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde, is also in a strong ground of getting re-elected, while outgoing Mayor Celso Lobregat will undoubtedly, be the next congressman of district 1.

However, Lobregat explained the in-house surveys are used as guide for the party in terms of campaign strategies or approaches and not to publish it as what other contending camps do.

“Among us four, Climaco, Iturralde, Celso, I’m the only one who is in a tight race with my rivals,” the younger Lobregat admitted.

Meanwhile, Mayor Celso Lobregat echoed Jomar’s disbelief on the GMRJ’s published survey results stressing that he is willing to show Team Pnoy’s survey results after the May 13 elections, to determine which survey is credible and realistic.

“This is to show you, whose surveys are accurately and honestly done, ours or theirs”, Lobregat emphasized. — PA
