Two decomposing bodies were exhumed in Barangay Cawit, this city last Wednesday.

Police identified the two dead men as Michael Hirasol y Miro of Baliwasan Grande and Jordan Hajarat y Mohammad, married, of Recodo.

The bodies which bore wounds believed to be gunshot were recovered at a garbage dumpsite and were already in the state of decomposition.

Hirasol, Hajarat and Joseph Maglinte were reported missing last week.

Maglinte’s body was recovered by some fishermen along the shore in the west coast. It bore bullet wounds.

It was gathered that the three allegedly entered the compound of a big company and tried to steal scrap materials but were collared by security personnel.

They were suspected to have been killed inside the company’s compound and Maglinte’s body was dumped into the sea, but was immediately recovered by fishermen.

The bodies of Hirasol and Hajarat were buried in a garbage dump site in Cawit but were discovered last Wednesday.

Investigators of the Ayala police station were still digging deeper into the case to determine the identities of the killers.  – Dan Toribio Jr.
