Mayoralty aspirant Cong. Beng Climaco-Salazar and her Team PNoy bets from both districts I and II are working double time to reach as many people in the barangays , as they wrap up campaign sorties.

Unlike the congressional and council aspirants, Climaco-Salazar and teammate re-electionist Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde have to shuttle from District I and II and vice versa for their house to house campaign, pulong-pulung and nightly rallies.

The same is true with Mayor Celso Lobregat, who has to double his work as chief executive, head of the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino (LDP) and as Team PNoy’s congressional bet for District I.

“We intensify house to house campaign, the problem is we have work as mayor, we also have work as head of the party [LDP] where I have to see the situation and meet with the leaders, so poco tiempo di aton para man house to house”, Lobregat said, stressing that he also has to visit both districts as he has to campaign for the candidates in the two districts. “As mayor I thank the people for the opportunity they have given me to serve them as mayor 3 terms, so this is the first time that I will be running in only one district and not get a single vote in the other district”.

Climaco-Salazar for her part continues to put on hardwork together with her Team PNoy as the campaign period reaches homestretch.

A frontrunner in the mayoralty race, Climaco-Salazar is elated by the warm welcome accorded to her and her team during barangay sorties, small assemblies and nightly rallies.

On their own free will, barangay chairmen from District I and II attend nightly rallies conducted by Team PNoy to show unity and manifest support to the administration party.

The party is focused on the campaign despite the fact that the opposition has stepped up mudslinging and personal attacks against the group in a bid to win votes in the May 13 elections.

The powerhouse Team PNoy is composed of mayoralty aspirant Climaco-Salazar, re-electionist Vice Mayor Iturralde, District I congressional aspirant Mayor Celso Lobregat, District II congressional bet Jomar Lobregat and council aspirants Myra Paz Abubakar, Violy Alejandro, Dats Sampang, Tito Espiritusanto, Noning Biel, Charlie Mariano, Bong Atilano and Gerky Valesco for District I and Mike Alavar, Kit Barredo, BG Guingona, VP Elago, Elong Natividad, Art Onrubia, Percival Ramos and Eddie Saavedra for District II.

Unity and continuity remains to be the theme of the administration party, which is the only party that has a complete set of candidates, well-organized and is aiming for an 11-0 sweep in both districts. — Rey Carbonel
