PNP Maritime plans to put nat’l headquarters in ZC PDF Print E-mail

The Philippine National Police National  Maritime Group Command  in Camp Crame plans to transfer its National Headquarters to Barangay Bolong  Zamboanga City.

Regional Maritime Unit 9 Chief Supt. Rollen Dodoso Arino disclosed that the proposed area at Bolong beach has a land area of  3.9 hectares. Once it will push through. the Maritime Police Command will construct a two or three-storey building as well as a boat ramp, boat station, a wharf, communication facilities and similar other required edifices.

Arino said that Martime National  Police Director Chief Supt. Henry Lozañes has sent Sr. Supt. Ferdinand P. Yuzon last Monday to in Zamboanga to conduct ocular inspection of the area in Barangay Bolong for the construction of the national headquarters.

Arino said the rationale behind the transfer of the national headquarters  in Zamboanga City is anchored on the fact that Region 9, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi at the forefront of action against lawless elements at sea and maritime operations. – Allen Abastillas
