A public school teacher of Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte died after he was accidentally bumped by a truck transporting PCOs machines at Sitio Tarlago, Tictapul yesterday morning.

Police identified the fatality as Marvin Lozano y Julaida. He was rushed to a hospital where he expired while undergoing treatment.

Investigation showed that an Isuzu truck driven by Jake Ismael of Mampang together with other Air 21 trucks transporting PCOs machines were on convoy heading for Zamboanga Sibugay from Zamboanga City. Upon reaching Sitio Tarlago in Tictapul, Ismael’s truck accidentally bumped Lozano who was aboard a motorcycle and traveling the opposite direction.

The case is being investigated by the Vitali Police Station.

Meanwhile, Rey Bajao, a habal-habal driver and his female passenger, Liliosa Pascao died in separate road accident in the same place, the other day.

Police said Bajao was driving a motorcycle with Pascao as his passenger negotiating the highway in Tictapul around 3 p.m. when they were bumped by a Mitsubishi Montero driven by Paolo Falcasantos of Luyahan, Pasonanca.

Investigation showed that the two vehicles were running on opposite directions when Falcasantos encroached the lane of the motorcycle that resulted in the accident.

The motorcycle hit the concrete barrier and rammed to the house of Roger Guevarra.

The body was brought to the Vitali Lying-in Clinic for post mortem examination. – Dan Toribio Jr.
