Two men died of electrocution in two separate incidents in Daap, Sangali and at Sitio Balinsungay, Mercedes last Wednesday and Thursday.

Cherry Mae Pascual y Villanueva appeared at the Curuan Police Station and reported that his live-in-partner Nolan Custodio y Olmedo, 22, of Manicahan was accidentally electrocuted while working in Daap, Sangali.

A police report disclosed that Custodio was performing his job at a warehouse of a lightboat in Daap, Sangali around 430 p.m. Wednesday when he accidentally touched a live wire. He was rushed to the Zamboanga City Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival.

Around 2:40 p.m.Thursday, Isabel Salvador, 49, married, of Balinsungay, Mercedes reported to the Culianan Police Station that her husband Reynaldo Salvador was electrocuted while working in a fishpond.

Initial investigation showed that around 11 a.m. of the same day, Salvador together with Moreto Espinosa were working at the fishpond when they were informed that a dead goat was seen in a canal.

Police said that Espinosa instructed Salvador to check it but when the latter went down the canal, he accidentally touched a live wire.

Salvador was rushed to the Mindanao Central Sanitarium in Pasobolong where he was declared dead on arrival. – Dan Toribio Jr.
