Team Pinoy-Liberal Party Dipolog City re-electionist Mayor Evelyn T. Uy got another term after winning in Monday’s election.

Mrs. Uy concurrently is the chairperson of the Regional Development Council 9.

She thanked all the voters in Dipolog for supporting her and her party mates and giving her their trust and confidence Her vice mayor running mate Dr. Horacio Velasco also made it.

Mrs. Uy’s husband, Roberto Y. Uy,  the former mayor of Dipolog City, was also elected as new governor of Zamboanga del Norte together with vice governor running mate Atty. Senen Angeles.

Uy’s son Pinpin was also  elected mayor of Polanco municipality.

Meamwhile, Police Regional Office 9 Information Officer Chief Insp. Ariel Huesca disclosed that the lelection last Monday was generally peaceful.

During election day, Huesca said, the situation was very manageable. Policeand military personnel have been deployed to guard the sanctity of the ballots.

Dipolog City Chief of Police Supt. Joven R.  Parcon revealed that the election in the city was also generally peaceful.    There was no on election related violent incident.

Higway Patrol Group 9  Zamboanga del  Sur Provincial Team head  Chief Sr. Insp. Dexter Diones reported to HPG-9 Chief Supt. Severino B. Agustin that  the election in the province was tranquil and orderly.

Zamboanga del Sur Gov. Antonio Cerilles ran unopposed while wife re-electionist District 1 Rep. Auring E. Cerilles handily won against an opponent. District 2 Rep. Victor Yu was also reelected and the new mayor of Pagadian City is Romeo Pulmones. — Allen Abastillas
