The Highway Patrol Group-9 is set to conduct lectures and information dissemination on traffic rules, regulations and road safety in the different schools in the region.

HPG-9 Chief Supt. Severino B. Agustin disclosed that the holding of lectures and information dissemination was directed by the HPG national headquarters as a support to the Department of Education and Commission  of   Higher Education in coordination  with the Land Transportation Office, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Radio Groups and the tri- media.

Agustin said the lectures and information dissemination are the HPG’s support  to DepEd’s “Brigada Eskwela” which involved repairing and painting classrooms, fixing dilapidated desks, chairs and tables, cutting overgrown grasses and cleaning of the schools premises as the school opening approaches.

Agustin also directed all HPG provincial units to be extra alert and vigilant as the nation will celebrate the 115th Independence Day on June 12. —  Allen Abastillas
