A sketchy report reaching DZT  identified the victim as Casilda Villarasa Marcos, a medical technologist of the Sulu Provincial Hospital and wife of a marine sergeant.

The report said that Marcos and her nine-year-old daughter were about to enter the gate of the hospital where she is working when four gunmen appeared and dragged her to a waiting black van  around 6:30 a.m.
