American nabbed after firing gun at motorcab PDF Print E-mail

An American was arrested after he opened fire with a 45 cal. pistol at a motorcab in Dipolog City last Tuesday.

Fortunately, the bullet did not hit the driver and his four passengers.
Arrested was Ralph Hughey, 61, an American citizen, married, and temporarily residing at Galas, Dipolog City.

A police report disclosed Mervin Zamoras, 29, was driving his passenger motorcab with four passengers aboard when they were shot by Hughey near the house of Alias Elay Zamoras about 12 p.m. with the use of a Forjas Taurus Millenium PT145PRO Cal .45 ACP pistol.

Policemen later arrested Hughey. Seized from his possession was the 45 cal. pistol with serial number NCs90070 and loaded with one magazine having seven live ammunition one spare magazine loaded with eight live ammunition and one empty shell of .45 cal. pistol.

The arresting officers were led by PO3 Apolinar Pagente Tabiliran.
Hughey could not produce pertinent papers required by law to possess and carry said firearms and ammunition.
