Police confiscated eight gambling slot machines in a recent campaign in this city.

Policemen led by Sr. Insp. Abdulnasser Masilam of the City Police Office’s Patrol Section swooped down on the streets of Campaner, Dr. Rodriguez and Cervantes and seized the gambling machines around 10:30 a.m. the other day.

Confiscated were “kabalyo-kabalyo” and “apple-apple” machines.

The seized machines were brought to the central police station for recod and were later were turned over to the City Administrator’s Office for proper disposition.

Police were still trying to determine the identities of the operators for the filing of charges in court.

The public are encouraged to report to the nearest police station any slot machine in their locality.

Authorities urged residents not to patronize any illegal gambling machine to avoid penalty. – Dan Toribio Jr.
