Amid the police anti-illegal drug campaign, another alleged drug pusher was arrested in Barangay Guiwan last Monday afternoon.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo identified the arrested suspect as Almijir Najar y Tingkasan, 25, married, of Sta. Catalina.

De Ocampo said that Najar was nabbed at Castillo Compound at Apolinario Loop, Guiwan during a buy-bust operation around 5 p.m. Confiscated from his possession was a medium-size and  large size sachets, both containing suspected shabu, P900 marked money, a cell phone and a Honda Wave motorcycle.

Najar’s one-year-old son was with him during the shabu transaction with a police poseur buyer.

The buy-bust operation was carried out by operatives of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force, Investigation Section and Anti-Carnapping Unit led by Sr. Insp. Elmer Solon, Sr. Insp. Arlan Delumpines and Sr. Insp. Raymond Sanson.

Najar was detained at the central police station while the seized items were forwarded to the 9th PNP Crime Laboratory for examination. – Dan Toribio Jr.
