Celso gifts Vitali with P17.63M projects PDF Print E-mail

As a show of gratitude to the residents of Vitali for the support and confidence on the present administration, Mayor Celso Lobregat yesterday spearheaded the turnover of 10 infrastructure projects intended for various sectors of the community.

Costing a total of P17.63 million, the projects inaugurated and turned over included the P8.6M 2-storey school building at the Vitali Technical Vocational School, P1.4M rehabilitated and improved Home Economics Building at the Vitali Central School, P3M footbridges in sitios Tamion and Tagpangi, P299T solar dryer in sitio Camino Nuevo, P299T solar dryer in Tindalo, P299T solar dryer in Tamion, P1.17M irrigation structure in sitio Taloptap, P555T slope protection in sitio Tindalo and P1.88M farm to market road in sitio Tamion.

Lobregat, accompanied by Councilors-elect BG Guingona and Charlie Mariano motored to the outskirts of Vitali to turn over the projects to the intended beneficiaries, one after the other. Also present during the turnover were Vitali chairman Jose Alavar and his councilmen, Zamboanga State Polytechnic College President Dr. Nora Ponce, City Schools OIC Superintendent Pedro Natividad, Vitali District Supervisor Joel Marcos, Vitali Police Station Chief and staff and officials and staff of the Vitali Elderly Center and Lying-in Hospital among others.

“Antes yo akaba mio termino [como alcalde], ta man turn over kita cosa puede man turn over, como demonstracion de gratitud con el maga vivientes por el di ila compiansa y suporta na di aton administracion (Before I finish my term as mayor, we are turning over what we can as a show of gratitude to the constituents for their unwavering support to our administration),” the mayor declared.

Barangay Vitali is one of the barangays that gave the 11-0 sweep in favor of the local administration’s Team PNoy party in the May 13, 2013 elections.

Speaking on behalf of his constituents, the grateful Vitali Chairman Alavar said the City Government under Lobregat’s watch has constantly demonstrated concern for the barangay residents by continuously infusing projects and attending to the needs of the people. “Ta rindi gayot came gracias con Mayor [Lobregat] y el su administracion cay nuay gayot ele olbida y deja con el barangay de Vitali.”

Over the last six years, the Lobregat administration has implemented a total of P131 million worth of projects in Vitali. Of the amount, P11.6 million in 2007, P8.6 million in 2008, P20.5 million in 2009, P27.8 million in 2010, P10.9 million in 2011 and P22.7 million in 2012, excluding some projects unveiled yesterday.

Meanwhile, the mayor is culminating his third term as mayor with a series of turnover of projects in the different barangays showcasing the present administration’s unprecedented accomplishments and achievements. — Sheila Covarrubias with report from Jasmine Mohammadsali
