Four houses were destroyed by fire that broke out in Suterville at noon yesterday.

Two of the affected houses belong to a retired army officer while the two others were owned by an active Navy officer.

The fire was placed under control by firefighters who rushed to the scene from Central Fire Station and other fire sub-stations.

A resident said that the flames started at the second level of the house owned by the retired army officer. It scattered to the two neighboring houses owned by the Navy officer.

Residents nearby evacuated their houses bringing all their valuables for fear that the fire would spread and affect them

The fire was put out in less than an hour. No one was hurt. Residents returned back to their houses after everything was safe. – Dan Toribio Jr.
