Sr. Supt.Lim retires, Elcadre takes over as PR0-9’s RIDM chief PDF Print E-mail

Sr. Supt. Roland G. Lim, chief of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management  Division of the Police Regional Office 9,  will retire from the Philiipine National Police on July 6, 2013.

Lim graduated from the Philippine National Police Academy under Class 1982.  He rendered service as police officer for 31 years.

Lim, a law graduate, is a veteran as far as assignment in Region 9 including Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi. He became the Chief of Police in Dapitan City in 2000.

Taking over Lim’s post is Sr. Supt. Sofronio Palaña Elcadre who is a Lawyer.

Elcadre was formerly the Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Director. He had served as Deputy Police  Provincial  Director of Zamboanga Sibugay from 2008 to 2010. He is also the former Chief of the PRO-9 Regional Human Resource and Development Division.

Meanwhile, Elcadre disclosed that his office is now accepting applicants for the qualifying examination  on Investigation Officer Basic Course (IOBC ). The course is a 45-day training, open for officers from Inspector to Superintendent.

The examination will be on July 30, 2013.  Applicant can apply at the Regional Headquarters in Camp  Abendan, Barangay Mercedes. —  Allen Abastillas
