A farmer was shot and killed while a 28-year-old man escaped death in a gun attack in two separate incidents in Salaan and Baliwasan Grande last Wednesday.

Marco Perez y Ramillano, 36, married, of Sitio Lugakit, Salaan sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Police said that Perez, his wife Annabel and their one-year-old son were riding on a motorcycle on their way home when the gun attack took place around 9 p.m. Initial investigation showed that when they reached in front of their house, Perez stopped the motorcycle and his wife and son alighted. But when Annabel was opening the gate of the house, a gunman appeared and shot him several times at close range.

The gunman left the place after seeing Perez slumped on the ground.  The incident was reported to the police.

Meanwhile,  Nurhaffiz Dari, 28, married of Ilang-Ilang, Baliwasan Grande, was walking along the Baliwasan Grande Road before 1 a.m. Wednesday when Darwis Arabani and an unidentified companion appeared and shot him without any word.
