Operatives of the Highway Patrol Group-9 recovered at the Zamboanga City wharf  last Saturday a motorcycle which was stolen in Manila

Chief Insp. Alejandro O. Espiritu III, HPG-9 deputy chief,who led an operation at the local wharf together with SPO1 Wilfredo P. Ator and PO1 Juvie M. Dalogdog, spotted the motorcycle being loaded by its driver  to a commercial vessel bound for Jolo, Sulu.

Espiritu described the motorcycle as a black Honda CBR 150 with plate number 6969 XY, engine number CS150RE-5001421 and chassis number CS150DR-5001421. The driver presented a spurious certificate of registration.

Supt. Severino B. Agustin,  HPG-9 chief,  directed Espiritu to seize the motorcycle, impound it at Camp Batalla and conduct further investigation.

A check with the Vehicle Information Management System ( VIMS ) showed that the motorcycle was included in the list of alarmed/ Stolen Status under alarm number 2013-0121. It was stolen while parked at Cavite St., Gagalangin Tondo, Manila on September 7, 2012. — Allen Abastillas
