Boy, 6, dies in highway accident PDF Print E-mail

A 6-year-old boy died after he was accidentally bumped by a cargo truck at Sitio Mala, Bolong last Wednesday morning.

Nurhassan Amat y Asari was rushed to the Quiniput Hospital and was later transferred to the Zamboanga City Medical Center where he expired while under going medication.

A police report disclosed that the truck driven by Diomer Beton was heading for Pagadian City and upon reaching Sitio Mala, the boy crossed the highway that resulting in the accident around 9 a.m.

Beton failed to step on the brake of the truck and bumped the boy.

Amat was thrown away due to the strong impact of the bump. He sustained injuries in the body.

Beton was held for investigation while the truck was impounded at the Sangali Police Station.

Amat’s body was claimed by his relatives for burial services in an Islam rites after he was declared dead at the hospital. – Dan Toribio Jr.
