Mayor Celso Lobregat reaffirmed his commitment to the City, stating that he “will never tire of bringing the good, the positive, the best and the beautiful of Zamboanga City.”

This was the Mayor’s declaration during the opening night of the 15th Arch/Diocesan Financial Administrators of the Philippines (ADFAP) National Convention Monday, June 17, at Lantaka Hotel.

In his message, Lobregat called on the convention delegates to be, in their own ways, the City’s ambassadors of goodwill. “We are happy to have you in the City so you can see the truth of how peaceful and beautiful Zamboanga City is,” said Lobregat.

He also thanked the organizers for choosing to hold the national convention in the City and enjoined all present to share the positive experiences of their stay here.

The 5-day national convention, organized by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) – Pension Plan Committee and hosted by the Archdiocese of Zamboanga City, is a gathering of financial administrators, bishops, nuns and lay persons from all over the Philippines.

Present during the opening night were CBCP President Rev. Father Jose Palma, CBCP Treasurer Rev. Father John Du, Rev. Father Jose Bagaporo, Auxilliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Cotabato, and other officers and guests. — Jasmine Mohammadsali
