A canning factory worker was killed while three others were wounded in separate gun attacks in Zamboanga City.

Noel Macaso y Dela Cruz, married, an employee of the Big Fish Company and a resident of Malandi, Patalon, was shot to death by a certain Rene in Purok 8, Recodo last Tuesday afternoon.

A police report disclosed that Macaso was walking away from the company compound when Rene appeared and shot him around 5:30 p.m. He sustained a bullet wound in the head and was rushed to the Brent Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, two other men landed in hospital yesterday around 9:30 a.m. as a result of a gun attack at Aquino Drive, Baliwasan.

Gaspar Sasapan, 22, was taken to the Zamboanga City Medical Center with a bullet wound in the body. Another victim identified as Jermot Jikiri, 28, was rushed to the Brent Hospital with a bullet wound in the right leg.

Jikiri told the police that after Sasapan was shot, he ran away but was also shot by the gunman.

However, police suspected that it was Jikiri who shot Sasapan and while he was fleeing, the gun accidentally went off hitting his right leg.
