Two cousins were stabbed and wounded by two brothers in Barangay Tumaga at dawn last Sunday.

Wounded were Alfredo Delmendo y Bucoy, 36, and cousin Lan-Lan Delmendo y Bucoy, 33. They were stabbed by Richard and Raphy Gutierez.

The victims sustained multiple stab wounds in the body and were taken to the hospital.

Initial investigation disclosed that the cousins were walking on their way home at past 3 a.m. when the two brothers blocked their path and engaged them in a heated argument. Amid their argument, the Gutierez brothers pulled out knives and stabbed the two cousins.

Men of the Sta. Maria Police Station conducted a follow-up operation resulting in the arrest of the suspects.
