Police Regional Office 9 Director Chief Supt. Juanito B. Vaño has created a team to monitor and  check policemen of the Zamboanga City Police Office who are not performing their work while on duty.

PRO9 spokeperson Chief Insp. Ariel Huesca Jr. disclosed that the newly created monitoring team will record and check policemen whether or not they are doing their job The team is intended to remind policemen in the city who are on duty or not on duty  to do their task in securing and ensuring the safety of the people.

“They must always stay alert and vigilant at all cost while in the performance of duties because they are law enforcers,” Huesca said.

According to Huesca, policemen should always be alert because they have joined  the police force to serve the country and the people.

“When they are on duty or not in duty they must always stand guard and ready to give a quick reaction if things arise,” he said.

Huesca said that if policemen on duty are caught are not doing their job or malingering, an intervention will be imposed on them like re-training, go to seminar or punished  or re-assigned to other places in the country. — Allen Abastillas
